About Zanzibar
After a week of dust and early mornings, Zanzibar is exactly what you need. An hour’s flight from the Serengeti and you are standing on white sand with turquoise water in front of you.
Stone Town is a maze of narrow alleys, carved wooden doors and a history of spices and slavery that cannot be polished away. The south coast around Kizimkazi is quiet; the north around Nungwi is livelier.
Allow at least four nights, preferably seven. Any quicker and you will not really unwind.
