About Tarangire & Lake Manyara
Tarangire is the park people underestimate and then talk about most afterwards. Giant baobabs, a river that draws every animal for miles in the dry season, and elephant herds a hundred strong or more.
Lake Manyara lies half an hour away: a narrow strip of green between the Rift Valley wall and a soda lake full of flamingos. This is where the tree-climbing lions live, and the forest is full of baboons.
Together they make a perfect first or last stop, close to Arusha.
