Why Ubuntu

Travel with meaning, not a package price

Ubuntu means: “I am because we are.” That is exactly how we build trips. We put every route together ourselves, with guides we know personally and villages where we are welcome — not because we pay, but because we belong there.

From iconic safaris in the Serengeti to gravel rides at the foot of Kilimanjaro and time out on Zanzibar: it all comes down to real connection with nature, with people and with yourself.

Read our story

Locally run, not resold

Our office is in Arusha. No middlemen, no call centre — you speak to the people who actually run your trip.

Every route is tailor-made

From luxury lodge to camping under the stars. Your pace, your budget, your dream — we build around it.

Travel with impact

We work with local guides, cooks and villages. Your trip makes the community stronger, not just us.

Reachable 24/7 on the ground

In English or Dutch, day and night, from arrival to departure. Never a call centre.

Our experiences

How it works

From first message to departure

No quote factory. You get one point of contact who watches over your trip from start to finish.

  1. 01

    Tell us your dream

One message is enough. How many days, who you are travelling with, what budget and what you dream of — we do the rest.

  2. 02

    We build your route

You hear from us within 24 hours. Then we put together a proposal with lodges, guides and a daily plan.

  3. 03

    Refining it together

Something not quite right? We keep adjusting until it is. Only when you are happy do we confirm the trip.

  4. 04

We are there on the ground

From the moment you land at Kilimanjaro Airport until you leave: our own guides, our own vehicles, reachable 24/7.

Together they bring international experience and local strength into one place. You notice it in everything: in the guides you get, in the villages where you are welcome and in how easily everything is arranged.
